SARASOTA- Trish Adams is pounding the pavement with a purpose.

One week after an urn was stolen containing her late husband's ashes, she is placing reward signs up around town. Adams is offering up to $500 to the person who can return the urn. So far, Trish says she has placed more than 100 signs around Sarasota.

"The most important thing to me right now is just getting him back," said Adams, who was placing signs up on light poles around Bee Ridge road on Friday. "I just feel like there is someone out there that has some information about who did this, or where his remains are."

Last April, Trish's husband, Josh, died unexpectedly.

One week ago, burglars broke into Trish's home on Helene Street in Sarasota. Besides the urn, the thiefs took jewelry and electronics. Detectives with the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office are now investigating. Authorities continue to check in with local pawn shops to see if someone tried to sell it.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the urn is urged to call Sarasota County Crimestoppers at (941) 366-Tips.
