NORTH PORT, FL- The first of the month was the latest target date for re-opening. Now the new vendor says there are issues they want fixed.
A letter sent this week on behalf of the recently selected vendor WMS Sarasota Management addressed facility concerns. Things like algae and even alligators in the water. Also concerns with landscaping, water pressure, bathroom, mold, and septic issues. "Some of them are not for us to correct. The bid was done as is. The facility would be as is," says North Port City Manager Jonathan Lewis.
County Commissioner Christine Robinson says she is "Disappointing" the facility isn't open yet. We will have much more coming up this evening on ABC 7.
