"Wallie" the Sandhill Crane is getting a second chance

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. - The Peace River Wildlife Center is rehabilitating a young Sandhill Crane after it was struck by a car in a local Walmart parking lot.

The crane's parents are known to frequent the area. "Wallie" as he/she is now called has another sibling still learning from them.

Many hatch lings in the area right. Wildlife experts are asking motorists and homeowners to be on the look out.

We will have Wally's story and how they're working to reunite with the  parents. Tonight on ABC 7 @ 5:30.
