Victim identified in fatal Bradenton shooting

BRADENTON, Fla. -- Bradenton Police say one man has been arrested for the fatal shooting of a Bradenton man Saturday evening.

Police say they were called to a home in the 600 block of 25th Avenue West around 6pm Saturday for a reported shooting.

Arriving officers discovered 28-year-old Shawn McCoy in front of the home , unresponsive and with gunshot wounds.  He was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

27-year-old Jared Lakes was arrested at the time and charged with 2nd Degree Homicide.
