NOKOMIS, Fla. - A Venice man died Wednesday evening after troopers say a car pulled out in front of his motorcycle.

It happened on U.S. 41 around 5:35pm.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, 52-year-old David Yarzab of Venice was riding his Harley Davidson southbound on U.S. 41 approaching the Waterfront Too restaurant near Lychee Road.

That's when troopers say a sedan driven by 85-year-old Polley Lawrence of Sarasota pulled out from the restaurant's parking lot into the path of Yarzab's motorcycle, which struck the left side of the car.

Yarzab was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

He was known locally as the Club Manager at the Venice Yacht Club.

There were no injuries in the car.  Lawrence was charged with Violation of Right of Way.
