TAMPA, Fla. (WTSP) -- We can add the University of South Florida to the growing list of schools around the country that are telling students to keep social media trends off the graduation stage.

USF sent an announcement to the class of 2014 reminding everyone to refrain from inappropriate behavior, including selfies.

It says a simple handshake is preferred when students join the school's president and other dignitaries on stage.

Punishment for inappropriate behavior could include withholding a graduate's degree.
