Jacksonville, FL (AP) - Jacksonville, FL airport reopens after bomb squad removes "destructive device".

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The Jacksonville International Airport has been evacuated after authorities found two suspicious packages.

The Florida Times-Union quotes an airport spokesman as saying that police had found a suspicious package in the terminal and another in a parking garage.

Authorities tweeted news of the evacuation on the airport's official Twitter site, but only said that the airport had been evacuated "due to police activity regarding suspicious" packages.

There have been no reports of injuries, damage or arrests.  Jacksonville police have blocked off the entrance to the airport.

Airport officials also tweeted that passengers on inbound flights currently on the ground would be bused to offsite hotels as transportation became available.

The airport says people intending to fly out of the airport or pick up travelers should check with their individual airlines on the status of the flights.
