Unlicensed contractor crackdown in Bradenton

BRADENTON, Fla. - Nine people in Manatee County face felony charges following an undercover sting called "Operation Unhandyman." 

Investigators targeted unlicensed contractors by using Craigslist and newspaper ads over a 2-day period.

The contractors were called to a home in Bradenton where undercover law enforcement requested quotes for work.  The contractors were then arrested and are charged with operating without a license.

Arrested were:

  • 52-year-old Allen Arthur
  • 39-year-old Clifford Hatina
  • 57-year-old Michael Kantor
  • 44-year-old Adam Levine
  • 48-year-old Christopher Myrick
  • 51-year-old David Perez
  • 53-year-old Walter Powe
  • 50-year-old Scott Rodocker
  • 52-year-old Paul Ward
