Two missing teens sought in Sarasota

**UPDATE** -- The teens were located safe and unharmed early Saturday morning in Manatee County.

SARASOTA, FL. - Sarasota Police are looking for two teens that went missing Thursday afternoon.

The two teenagers from the Sarasota Military Academy left the school, located on the corner of 10th St and North Orange Ave, on foot and haven’t returned home.

Detectives say that 15-year-old Cheyanne Muecke and 16-year-old Joshua Palmier, were last seen at around 1:50 p.m. They were walking southbound on Lemon Ave. from 10th St.

Cheyanne Nicole Muecke is a white female, 5’3”, 118 lbs, light brown hair with blond streaks, blue eyes, and last seen wearing blue/purple shear plaid shirt with a tank top underneath, black pants and dark brown boots. She was carrying a green plaid backpack. She may have changed into a tight black T-shirt with white lettering that said, “if you think I am crazy you should meet my friends.” SPD case# 14-026928

Joshua Howard Palmieri is a white male, 5’7”, 160 lbs, brown short hair and blue eyes, and last seen wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering that said, “New York.” He had on black jeans and black sneakers with neon green trim. He was carrying an Army camouflage backpack.

It is unknown at this time if foul play is involved.

Both teenagers are from Venice, Florida and have been entered as missing in the Florida database.
