Two injured in North Sarasota shooting

SARASOTA-- Two people were shot Thursday night in North Sarasota.

According to Police Chief Bernadette DiPino, the shooting occurred along 22nd Street around 10:00.

The injuries are non life threatening. Police believe the incident appears to be drug related.

Authorities are looking for the suspect(s) who fled in a dark colored Chevy Malibu.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sarasota Police Department.
