The tornado watch for the Suncoast has expired. The threat of severe storms has lessened this evening. We are still watching a line of storms approach the W. Coast of Florida, but there has been no rotation with the cells imbedded within this line.

We will see showers with an occasional thunderstorm, but nothing too severe at this point. There is the possibility of some gusty winds, but the overall threat of severe weather has come to an end it seems.

We will see the winds pick up on Wednesday and they will turn more toward the W-NW. This will cause some dangerous surf along area beaches, and a rip current advisory is out for much of the W. Coast of Florida.

Stay tuned to ABC 7 for further  weather updates.
