UPDATE: Sarasota police investigate "deadly missile" at local restaurant

According to Sarasota Police Communications Coordinator Genevieve Judge, there was no evidence of gunshots at the scene. Judge says the hole in the window may be caused by a "deadly missile, and not a bullet." The case remains under investigation.

Sarasota man charged with stealing over $11,000 from his grandmother

According to Sarasota Police, Mohr and his girlfriend, Cristina Arteaga, used the debit card and credit card of his 83-year-old grandmother over the course of two and a half months this summer.

North Port man charged with two DUI hit and runs in one night

A North Port man was arrested Tuesday night on multiple charges after deputies say he was involved in two separate hit-and-run crashes in the northern area of Port Charlotte.

FBI charges Sarasota man with trading child pornography

42-year-old Ryan Bartley, of Pineview Circle in Sarasota, has been charged with one federal count of Distribution of Child Pornography, and one federal count of Child Pornography.
