11-time convicted felon arrested for carrying a loaded gun

SARASOTA, FL. – An 11-time convicted felon has been arrested again after a loaded weapon is found in his waistband.

26-year-old Quinton Davis was arrested on Thursday around 11 p.m. He had a loaded .40 caliber Glock pistol in his waistband and a black ski mask. The Glock was loaded with 8 rounds.

Davis has 11 felony convictions on his record. He is currently on probation for the sale of cocaine.

Davis has been charged with Carrying a Concealed Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon and Violation of Probation.

Deputy Chief Steve Moyer, Sarasota Police Department, added, “Our officers are doing an outstanding job in identifying individuals who are utilizing firearms while committing crimes. The effort by all our officers working the streets both day and night is a continuation to work to protect the residents and visitors of the City of Sarasota.”
