VENICE, Fla. – There’s good news for the City of Venice as three groups have expressed interest in leasing land surrounding the former circus arena.
In Tuesday's city commission meeting, Venice leaders will review proposals for new business.
One will be the continued operation of a flying trapeze academy. Another proposal includes a 36-hole miniature golf course. And the Venice Circus Arts Foundation wants to form a business to rebuild the circus arena and use it as a sports venue.
The city will consider whether or not to begin negotiations with any or all of the proposals.
