Three arrested in Sarasota as part of nationwide sex trafficking sweep

SARASOTA, Fla. -- An FBI operation against child sex trafficking ends with arrests on the Suncoast. Sarasota Police say three people were taken into custody as part of "Operation Cross Country".

Nationwide, 168 children were rescued in more than 100 cities.

Some 281 suspects are now facing state and federal charges related to the alleged child sex trafficking.

Locally arrested were:

29-year-old Jessica Fisher, charged with Prostitution

25-year-old Jessel Rejesh Patel, charged with Using a computer to solicit and travel to meet a minor, and Lewd & Lascivious Battery

30-year-old Whisper Morton, charged with Prostitution
