SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office arrested two Sarasota residents and one Bradenton resident on felony drug charges.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and discovered heroin, meth and prescription pills.
Patrol deputies stopped the vehicle early Thursday morning, just after midnight, in the area of Honore Avenue and Bridge Hampton Blvd. in Sarasota. According to the police report, deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana after stopping the vehicle.
After searching the car, deputies found several syringes, bags, and scales in the glove box and in the center console. They also discovered Heroin, Meth and Hydromorphone under the rear passenger seat.
The three occupants were taken into custody without incident.
Jeremy Lorber, 23, of Sarasota was charged with possession of Heroin, possession of Hydromorphone, possession of Methamphetamine, possession of narcotic equipment and driving with a license suspended. He remains in custody on $11,200 bond. Lorber is considered a prolific offender with an extensive list of prior charges including sale of Heroin, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and burglary.
Derek Parker, 23, of Sarasota is charged with possession of Heroin, possession of Hydromorphone, possession of Methamphetamine and possession of narcotic equipment. He remains in custody on $5,000 bond.
Lauren Bennett, 23, of Bradenton is charged with possession of Heroin, possession of Hydromorphone, possession of Methamphetamine and possession of narcotic equipment. She was released Thursday on $5,000 bond.
