Florida mom denied 'stand your ground' defense

A judge has denied a Florida woman's request to use the so-called "stand your ground" law as a defense for attempted murder charges that arose after she fired a gun at her husband.

Sarasota teen uses gun to fend off burglar

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies made contact with the 15-year-old victim, who said that he was home alone when he heard banging noises from the back of the house.

Sex on the beach leads to arrest of Bradenton couple

According to a report from the Bradenton Beach Police, officers were called to the 500 block of Gulf Drive South shortly after 8pm on Sunday. Witnesses said the two were laying on a sheet and began to fondle each other before having intercourse.
