Suspects sought for stealing purse at a Sarasota drug store

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are attempting to identify two men who were caught on camera stealing a purse from behind a counter at a Sarasota Walgreen's store.

According to police,  at approximately 5:30pm on August 10th, the two subjects entered the store at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Bee Ridge Road.

One man walked around the counter, looked at the cash register and walked away from the counter. He returned a short time later and took the victim’s purse from behind the counter and left the store. The two suspects were seen arriving and leaving the store in a gold four-door vehicle.

One suspect is described as a black male, approximately 40 years old, heavyset, goatee and last seen wearing a tan and grey shirt.

The other suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s, last seen wearing a black t-shirt and a white, red and black hat.
