Suspect sought after stabbing at Sarasota bus station

SARASOTA - One person has been hospitalized after being stabbed at a Sarasota bus station.

Police say two males got into a fight at the downtown SCAT bus station on Lemon Avenue around 9 pm Sunday.

One of the men pulled out a 4-inch knife and stabbed the man who he was arguing with in the abdomen and thigh. He then fled the scene on foot as a witness called 911.

Police say the suspect is a homeless man by the name of William Hall. At last check, police were still looking for him.

The victim was taken to Sarasota Memorial Hospital and is expected to be ok.
