Suspect shoots into car following Rubonia Mardi Gras

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. - Manatee County deputies are looking for a man who opened fire into a vehicle following the annual Rubonia Mardi Gras celebration.

It happened near the 7100 block of Bayshore road in Rubonia.  According to a sheriff's office report, the suspect, driving a Chevy SUV,  fired one round into a silver Ford SUV driving on the same road but in an opposite direction. The suspect then drove off. 

Deputies chased the suspects SUV until it crashed into another vehicle at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Bayshore Road. The suspect got out of his vehicle and ran into the woods. A firearm was found at the scene.

Back at the scene of the shooting the victim in that incident got out of his vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
