SARASOTA - Brookside Middle School held its annual Literacy Night Thursday.
The event brought out hundreds of students and parents to promote reading. The group spent the night highlighting jobs where literacy is a necessity – like television news.
ABC 7's Bobeth Yates was on hand for the event. Several other organizations also had representatives there.
