DeSOTO COUNTY - Authorities are looking to contact the driver of a vehicle that may have seen an incident in rural DeSoto County that caused serious injuries to one driver.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened Friday, February 17th at the intersection of C.R. 769 and C.R. 760 around 4:40pm.

They say that a vehicle, possibly a red 4-door sedan, was westbound on C.R. 760 and may have entered the intersection, causing a vehicle traveling northbound on C.R. 769 to swerve and then overturn.  That driver sustained serious injuries in the crash.

The red sedan reportedly fled the scene.

FHP believes another vehicle was behind the red sedan and may have witnessed the incident.  Anyone with possible information is asked to contact Trooper Hathcock at (941) 751-8350 ext. 31794.
