SARASOTA, Fla. - After a beautiful weekend, the first day of the work week will be storms. A complex storm system will bring a late morning and afternoon threat for strong storms and possibly severe weather.

We are under a slight risk for storms that could produce gusty or damaging winds. There is also the possibility for some one inch accumulations of rainfall today. Timing of the storms will likely be for best chances this afternoon and evening.

Clearing will occur overnight and tomorrow will be a calmer and sunnier weather day.

UPDATE: At 12:45pm, the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Watch, in effect until 11pm for all Suncoast counties.
