NORTH PORT, Fla. -- In her first sit-down interview since the North Port Police party scandal, former officer Melanie Turner spoke out about the dropped sexual battery charges against her. She also talked about subjects ranging from the night in question to what she thinks of the alleged victim.

WATCH: More clips from our interview with Melanie Turner.

The 33-year-old mother of two who served a tour in Iraq says she was just weeks away from her 10-year anniversary on the force and being vested. Now she says she has lost everything. "It's ruined my life, ruined my career. The only thing I have ever wanted to do, the job I love."

Turner and another officer, Ricky Urbina, were accused of handcuffing a woman and taking her to a bedroom and performing sex acts on her. "I honestly remember very little. I won't be very much help to any of those questions."

The woman later accused them of doing it against her will.

In these extended clips from our interview with Turner, she speaks out about whether she's embarrassed by the public nature of the scandal, gives her opinion on whether there is a cover-up going on at the North Port Police Department, and shares her response to being arrested and learning of the Police Chief's apology to the alleged victim.

I am a North Port resident, as a resident of OUR TOWN, I have nothing to say except that this is emvbarrassing. If she is not embarrassed, I amembarrassed enough for her and I both, as a woman.
