PUNTA GORDA, Fla.  -- Detectives have arrested a second person and they have obtained warrants for two more people in the armed occupied residential burglary that occurred on Tuesday on Oil Well Road in Punta Gorda.

Sarah Lauren Cassell, 20, of 1518 NE 2nd Street in Cape Coral, was arrested earlier today and charged with being a Principle to both Armed Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling and Grand Theft.  As of this report, she was still being booked at the Charlotte County Jail and will be held on no bond.

On Tuesday, a woman called the Sheriff’s Office to report finding three men dressed in dark clothing and wearing ski masks in her Oil Well Road house.  The men fled from the house into the woods as the woman fled with her infant child in her vehicle down the road to meet the responding deputies.

A volunteer saw Stephen Adam Twyman, 19, of 1605 Oakley Avenue in Fort Myers, walking down Oil Well Road as he responded to the burglary.  Detectives arrested Twyman for Loitering and Prowling on Tuesday and charged him with armed burglary and grand theft on Wednesday after crime scene technicians matched his shoes to prints left at the scene.

While the detectives were speaking with Twyman on Tuesday on Oil Well Road, he asked to call his girlfriend, whom he identified as Sarah Cassell.  During that same time frame, they saw a grey colored Hyundai driven by a white female.  The tag number on the vehicle came back registered to Sarah Cassell, but she did not stop to speak with either Twyman or the detectives.

On Thursday, Cassell met with the detectives and was interviewed.  After further investigation, she was arrested today for her part in the burglary.  She is alleged to have provided transportation to Twyman and two other men who broke into the victim’s house.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Edward Michael Kolodny, 23, and Garrett Clinton Whitney, 18, both of whom had last known addresses in North Fort Myers, on the same Armed Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling and Grand Theft charges.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Kolodny or Whitney are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at (941) 639-2101, your local law enforcement agency if outside Charlotte County, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
