VENICE, FL (WWSB) - Boaters out on Suncoast waters will have a little extra backup.
Sea Tow Venice announced Thursday they have added two new boats to their fleet. The boats are eco-friendly, larger than other vessels in the fleet and can venture farther offshore to provide better service to members of the boating community.
Sea Tow Venice performs rescue operations and water assistance from Osprey down to the Placida area at the Boca Grande bridge.
The company is a membership-based service that provides the assurance of knowing a captain is available 24/7 who can provide on-the-water assistance if needed. Boats will be covered if they need towing, fuel delivery, a jump start, disentanglement or a covered ungrounding from a sandbar or shallow area.
