SCTI getting millions for North Port Campus

NORTH PORT, Fla. - District and state leaders are setting aside millions of dollars to build a new SCTI campus in North Port.

This week the Sarasota County School District allocated $1.5 million for land purchasing and another $6million in the upcoming budget. Thursday State Senators agreeing to spend $2 million. It still needs to be approved by the house.

The campus could also include the city's second public library. All of the facilities could be complete in time for the 2016-17 school year.
