MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- FCAT testing is underway for many students, but multiple school districts around the state, including Manatee County, are reporting problems with the computer based test system.

ABC 7 has learned that the company contracted by the state to run the testing program is experiencing technical problems with its servers. This is slowing the system down and causing delays for the students being tested, preventing them from logging on to computers to take the test.

While Manatee County says it is experiencing problems, Sarasota County school officials say they are not experiencing the problem.

There are also reports of problems in Brevard, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Leon, Polk, and Seminole counties.
