BRADENTON, FL--- A Suncoast college earns recognition for being friendly to the military. It's the forth year in a row that State College of Florida has been on the list of military friendly schools in G.I. Jobs Magazine.
The school is recognized among the top 20-percent of all colleges and universities nationwide for its recruitment and retention of students who have military experience.
"The administration here helps the veterans as much as they can," said student Randy Kennedy who is a former member of the U.S. Military.
And he isn't alone.
"I retired from the Coast Guard and I'd never been to college. They pretty much took me by the hand and told me exactly what I need to do and helped me pick out classes." said Jim Fraser.
More than 400 veterans from all branches are currently enrolled at SCF.
