SARASOTA, FL-  One of Sarasota's oldest restaurants is closing its doors.

The Broadway Bar and Restaurant at the corner of 10th avenue and Cocoanut has been open since 1925.  It is soon closing and will reopen as "The Starlite Room".

The new owner has worked at and managed several local eateries.  The Starlite Room will have a 60's theme.  The restaurant should be open in about 3 weeks.  No word if the Broadway name will reappear somewhere else soon.
