SARASOTA, FL- Hazmat crews were called to the corner of Beneva Road and Country Place Boulevard in Sarasota Tuesday morning after a vehicle crash resulted in a chlorine spill.

That's between Clark and Proctor Roads.  The intersection has been reopened.

The crash happened just before 8am.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers there were injuries involved in the accident.  An undetermined amount of pool chemicals, including Chlorine, spilled into the roadway causing crews to close Country Place and parts of Beneva Road while they cleaned up.
