Sarasota Police looking for burglary suspect

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Heavy police activity is being reported in the area of Bahia Vista and Tuttle in Sarasota, as Sarasota Police says they're searching for a person involved in a robbery.

According to police, earlier Tuesday an off-duty officer spotted two males casing a house and then robbing it. The officer was able to catch one of the suspects but the other got away.

The house is located in the 1300 block of S. Euclid Avenue, just south of the YMCA on Bahia Vista.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 5'6" to 5'8" in height with a shaved head, wearing either a brown and white, or red and white polo shirt and brown khaki shorts.
