Unfortunately, there are no good stories of drug addiction. If you are a recovering addict, you are to be congratulated. I hope you didn't hurt too many innocent people along the way. It is a lot better for addicts to be treated and recover, than to be incarcerated at public expense. The addicts in this article chose to go the criminal route and must be treated as such. If nothing else, this story makes the rest of us aware of the length addicts will go to support their habit - burglarizing homes, stealing guns, etc. Who knows where those guns ended up and in how many more crimes they were used in. Secure your homes and property!

How about some stories about addicts getting clean and integrating back into society? Thanks ABC7 for contributing to the stereotyping and ultimately the demonizing of the disease of addiction.
