Sarasota man injured in early morning motorcycle crash

SARASOTA - All lanes are back open at U.S. 301 and Fruitville Road in Sarasota following a crash involving a motorcycle.

It happened Tuesday around 6:30 a.m.

Sarasota Police say 57-year old John Hart of Sarasota was on a motorcycle driving northbound on U.S. 301.

A car driven by 30-year-old Nicholas Morales was turning left into the Shell gas station parking lot off U.S. 301.

For unknown reasons at this time, Hart's motorcycle hit Morales' car.

Hart suffered unknown injuries and was taken to Blake Medical Center via Bayflite. Morales suffered no injuries.
