SARASOTA, Fla. - Many people in Sarasota enjoyed their turkey dinners Thursday. But Friday morning one man was greeted by a wild turkey.

Clayton Griner and his brother Kevin say they found what they’re calling the ‘turkey that got away’ from the dinner table!

The wild turkey showed up at the front door of their Kensington Park home Friday morning. And because the turkey was so friendly with people, they have a plan for his future. “We'll keep him as a pet, build him a cage, and his name will be ‘Lucky’, ‘cause he missed Thanksgiving.”

The men joked that if lucky showed up Thursday, his name would have been ‘Leftovers’.

They believe the turkey is wild, but if it is someone's pet, they will return him.
