Sarasota man charged with possession of child pornography 0 comments

SARASOTA - A Sarasota man was arrested Thursday after investigators found numerous images of what they say was child pornography on his home computer.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested 58-year-old Harry Martin Walsh Jr. on 20 counts of possession of child pornography.

As a result of an investigation by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, deputies executed a search warrant at Walsh’s home in Vintage Grand on Palmer Ranch on Thursday. Computers were also seized from his office location on Bee Ridge Road.

Detectives conducted a forensic examination and confirmed a minimum of 20 child pornography files did exist on at least one laptop computer.

Walsh was booked in the Sarasota County Jail and charged with 20 counts of Possession: Sexual Performance by a Child which is a felony.
