Sarasota home raided by police and Homeland Security

SARASOTA, Fla. -- Officers with the Sarasota Police Department assisted Homeland Security in executing a search warrant Friday.

Officers arrived at a home in the 800 block of South Lime Avenue around 8am, where at least two adults were taken into custody and several young children were removed from the home.

Authorities also removed several boxes from the house and searched vehicles.

The police department has not released any other details about the search warrant or the arrests at this time.
