VENICE, FL. - Sarasota County deputies are used to getting into altercations with criminals, but how about alligators?
According to our partners at the Venice Gondolier Sun, last Sunday, Deputy Blake Luce was called out to an intersection in Venice after an 8-foot gator was seen walking out into traffic at a busy intersection.
He took the alligator into custody using a pipe and noose, similar to what dog catcher's use, placed it around the alligator and dragged it away from the curb.
Deputy Luce then walked around the gator and jumped on him.
The gator was turned over to Florida Fish and Wildlife and relocated.
