SARASOTA, FL. - A Sarasota couple faces child neglect charges after authorities find their kids living in filth.

Sarasota County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Sarah and Bruce Sexton on Thursday.

Investigators say on Christmas Day, Sarah left her 3 children in the care of a homeless man she met at the Salvation Army.

An anonymous tipster called deputies, who responded to the Sea Breeze Inn on North Tamiami Trail. There, they found the children hungry, dirty and living in a room filled with trash. The sink was also clogged with cigarette butts and the toilet was overflowing.

Deputies took the children and arrested their parents the next day.

Investigators say both are meth addicts. A report says Sarah was known for selling her food stamps and herself as a prostitute to support her drug habit.
