Sarasota County Schools organize a college night

SARASOTA, FL-Local high school students and parents can meet representatives from more than 100 colleges and universities from across the U.S. when Sarasota County Schools hosts the 2013 Fall College Night. The event will be held from 6-8:30pm tonight at Robarts Arena in Sarasota.

Admission is free.

Schools scheduled to send representatives include post-secondary institutions in the State University System of Florida as well as public and private colleges and universities from around the nation.

This year, a representative of the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Office will be at the event so students and other attendees can register to vote. According to the Supervisor of Elections website,, a person who is otherwise qualified may preregister on or after his or her 16th birthday and may vote in any election on or after his or her 18th birthday.

Robarts Arena is located at 3000 Ringling Boulevard in Sarasota. More information about the 2013 Fall College Night is available by visiting or calling the Student Services department of Sarasota County Schools at 941-927-4036.
