SARASOTA, Fla. - Sarasota County commissioners will discuss this morning whether to allow paddle boarders to share public beaches with swimmers.  A concession stand owner on Siesta Beach is asking the county to allow paddle board rentals.

Currently only swimmers are allowed on Siesta Beach.  Boaters, surfers and paddle boarders are prohibited.

County lifeguards are reportedly not in favor of allowing paddle boards.

ABC 7's Todd Dunn is following the story and will have more tonight on ABC 7 News.
