The Sarasota Bay Water Festival held a photography competition today, Saturday, November 17th and Longboat Key photographer, Mary Lou Johnson, won 1st place with "Mystic Morning". The picture was taken early one foggy morning on the north end of Longboat Key.
Mary Lou Johnson also won third place with another image taken on Longboat Key, "Entrance to God's Morning."
All entries needed some kind of connection to Sarasota Bay or its tributaries spanning Sarasota and Manatee County; this could include water, habitat, seascapes, people enjoying any form of Bay recreation activities such as boating and fishing, Bay related commerce, or any form of wildlife common to the Bay’s ecosystem. Wildlife could include shorebirds, other birds, aquatic life, mammals, or any other wildlife.
