Hey Chris, how come you're not interested in phasing out the unregulated dog racing that your Grey2k USA co-founder and director emeritus Jill Hopfenbeck in involved in?

To read about the many lies and frauds of Dorchak and her Grey2k USA profit machine, visit: http://greyhoundwatchusa.blogspot.com/2014/02/leading-grey2k-charge.html

If you want to know where the millions of dollars Grey2K has had donated to them "for the dogs", go to: http://grey2klies.blogspot.com/2014/03/follow-money.html

You can follow the money and see that only 1% of it actually benefits the dogs.

You are stretching the truth more than a bit. Greyhound racing was not banned in Colorado. What was banned was WAGERING on the greyhounds. It is illegal to bet on live races there.

What hurts, however, is the bill that you all supported took away the percentage of the handle from the greyhound adoption groups and it now goes to thoroughbred racing.

Nothing like hurting those groups that actually rehome the dogs rather than push an animal rights lobby issue. Eh?

Hurt those dogs, Christine! How many are you going to walk away from saying, "Oh the adoption groups will take care of them!"

Seriously people, think about it. How in the world would there be anymore greyhounds left if this ridiculous statement were true. Please use your common sense. They do not die after they are done racing, If they were, how would so many of them be adopted and take over people's couches? This article is so full of lies and hate, I can't even imagine how it got printed. Doesn't anyone try to learn the truth anymore? Are your reporting skills so bad that you don't don't even care if it's accurate or not? If a lie is told often enough, people will believe it. If I said chocolate smelled like onions, would you check to make sure I was a credible source or print the misinformation as you have done here? I am thoroughly disgusted that you would vilify an industry without knowing the facts and one that has done so much to regulate the safety of the racers. Please watch this video and start your education on a topic you obviously know nothing about. Thank you. www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8PI_ywR3jg

There are a couple of things I'd like to know. 1) They state 27,000 are killed and thousands find their way into adoptive homes. How can that be when there are fewer than 10,000 greyhounds bred annually? The math doesn't add up. 2) What gives these "activists" the right to force their beliefs on those who disagree? If you don't like dog racing, horse racing, circuses, etc., then don't go but let the rest of us enjoy it. I have to wonder how many of these self-righteous people, who condemn making money off of animals, eat meat of any kind? People make money off of ranching, fishing, etc.

How wonderful to see the momentum to phase out dog racing in Florida! The Sunshine State was the first to legalize betting and wagering on greyhounds, in 1931. This set off a chain reaction across the country. Since 2001, dog racing has been relegated to just 7 states, as tracks have been ending live racing for both humane and economic reasons. Last month, Colorado became the 39th state to prohibit dog racing when Governor John Hickenlooper signed a bill written by GREY2K USA and supported by the state's racing licensees themselves. Times are changing for the good!

This is total rubbish. Over 95% of racing greyhounds either return home with their owners or are adopted at the end of their careers. I should know, I have 4 of them laying out in my backyard catching some sun!

Casinos now want to eliminate racing when greyhound racing is what first allowed them to operate in FL. And before you start believing the lies from Grey2K look first into their organization. They are as corrupt and have been spouting lies for years.

"27,000 greyhounds killed a year"?. There aren't even 27,000 born in a year. All greyhounds are adopted after their racing career. Race tracks have on-site adoption facilities.

The chance of a greyhound being injured in a race in one-half of one percent.

Grey2k USA is a profit machine for its operators Chris Dorchak and partner Carey Theil. They lie and misrepresent facts about greyhound racing, while pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars. Their credibility as a non-profit is zero.
