SARASOTA - Police are looking for a man they say walked behind the counter of a 7-Eleven, threatened the clerk, and took all the money in the register.

It happened at the store on U.S. 301 and 17th Street at about 5:30am.

According to Sarasota Police, the suspect was seen in the store about an hour earlier, when he asked the clerk for $20 but left when the clerk refused.

He later returned and threatened the clerk and took the cash.

The suspect was last seen walking north along U.S. 301.
