SARASOTA, Fla. -- A film production company has filed a counterclaim against Sarasota County.

Sanborn Studios filed the counterclaim in response to the county's lawsuit, which was filed last month.

That lawsuit claims Sanborn Studios did not fulfill its incentive agreement as part of a $650,000 county grant. Sanborn was required to create 117 jobs in three years.

The studio's owner, Ken Sanborn, has called the county's actions "outrageous."
