SARASOTA – The reward has been doubled for information on the deadly beating of a popular Sarasota restaurant manager.

The family of Andrew Tian has matched the Sarasota County Crime Stoppers reward of $3,000, making the total reward offered now $6,000.

Meanwhile, a Celebration of Life for Tian is planned for Sunday, July 28th at 3pm at the First Congregational United Church of Christ. That's on Euclid Avenue in Sarasota behind the YMCA on Bahia Vista, at 3pm.

Tian, a manager at the New Dynasty Chinese restaurant on South Tamiami Trail, died last Friday after almost a week in grave condition at the hospital.

The 51-year-old chased after three men who left the restaurant without paying their bill on July 14th. They beat him and fled the scene.  The incident was not caught on camera.

So far, authorities haven't been able to find the suspects. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office says the incident is still a death investigation pending the results from the medical examiner.

One of the men has a distinctive rosary tattoo on his hand and wrist. Another has body piercings on the eyebrow and lip.

If you know who they are, authorities ask you to call Crime Stoppers at 941-366-TIPS.
