MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Residents living in the Lakewood Ranch area held a meeting Wednesday with commissioners to discuss concerns of traffic problems the new mall will bring.

That's according to the Herald Tribune.

The county wants to build a diverging diamond on University Parkway at I-75 to help alleviate the expected increase in traffic.

Some voiced concerns it would be too confusing for snowbirds, while others fear construction would make it a traffic nightmare.

FDOT plans to hold a public meeting on the issue on June 26th.
