CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- A report is expected to be released Friday on the economic impact of this spring’s inaugural Charlotte Harbor Super Boat Grand Prix.
Commissioners want to know if they got their money’s worth in the $250,000 investiment. They also want to look into future races, and see about fixing some of the problems that arose; one being the involvement of Englewood businesses.
The event, which took place in April off Englewood Beach, had an attendance of more than 30,000 people.
The report’s finding will be discussed at next Tuesday’s Charlotte County commission meeting.
