SARASOTA - A referee attacked during a youth football game in Sarasota now wants $15,000 in damages.

The fight happened back in August 2011 during a game at the Riverview High School field. It began after the Gators coach became upset with a call on the field.

Now, the ref, Jayme Ream, is suing the Mid Florida Football and Cheerleading Conference, their insurance company, Mutual of Omaha and Gators Youth Football.

The suit states that Ream suffered a fractured shoulder, medical expenses and lost income as a result of the brawl.
