CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - Detectives have arrested a woman they say took a wallet that had been left behind at Walmart and used a credit card from the wallet in another store.

40-year-old Laurel Infante has been arrested and charged with Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card and Grand Theft from a Person Age 65 of Older.

The victim told investigators that she had left her wallet in the checkout are of the Punta Gorda Walmart on December 1st.  When she returned to the store, the wallet was gone, but store surveillance video showed the next person in line, later identified as Infante, put the wallet in her purse during her transaction.

A credit card from that wallet was later used for two purchases at a Punta Gorda 7-Eleven totaling over $400.

Detectives later identified Infante based on the credit card she used to buy a Christmas tree at the Walmart where she found the wallet.
